Public Budget Hearing

     The Public Budget Hearing for final review of the Town 2024 and School District 2024-2025 fiscal year budgets will take place on Wednesday January 10, 2024 at 7:00 pm at Ellis School Gymnasium, 432 Main Street.  It is planned to be live broadcast on FCTV 22 and Vimeo and will also be rebroadcast on FCTV and Vimeo.

     In case of inclement weather, or a need to continue the meeting, it will take place on Thursday January 11, 2024 at 7:00 pm in the same location.  The meeting will only be postponed in the worst of winter conditions due to scheduling of other meetings during the week.  On either evening, the Budget Committee will also convene at 6:30 pm to review petitions and materials for the hearing.  Check the Town’s website for more information and updates.

Questions during the hearing can be sent to an email which will be posted that evening and we will attempt to answer them during the meeting.

PETITION WARRANT ARTICLES – Due Tuesday January 9, 2024

Town Articles shall be submitted by 12:00 noon to the Select Board’s Office, 295 Main Street, Fremont.  School Articles shall be submitted by 12:00 noon to the SAU Business Office at Ellis School, 432 Main Street, Fremont.

DELIBERATIVE SESSIONS – All held at Ellis School Gym

Town Deliberative Session Saturday February 3, 2024 legal posting at 9:00 am – to be held IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING SCHOOL DISTRICT DELIBERATIVE SESSION

Snowdate for both meetings: Saturday February 10, 2024 at 9:00 am.  All meetings are planned to be live broadcast.   

     The Select Board will meet on the same schedule as the Public Hearing as needed to discuss the Warrant, petitions, and other budget items.  They will meet at the Ellis School at 6:30 pm and continue as needed during and after the Public Hearing on January 10 and/or January 11, 2024.  The Select Board and Budget Committee will also meet at 8:30 am on the morning of Deliberative Sessions to review any matters necessary before the meetings, and the Budget Committee may meet as needed throughout the Deliberative Sessions.
