$$ FOR ELLIS SCHOOL & FREMONT PTA
Hannaford Helps Schools Dollars - From 09/06/2009 through 12/06/2009, you have the opportunity to earn $$ through the Hannaford Helps Schools program to support the Fremont PTA and the programs it sponsors for the Ellis community. When you are checking out at Hannaford, you can receive "3 Hannaford School Dollars" for every 4 participating products you purchase from a choice of over 1200 products. Deposit your Hannaford School Dollars at the Raymond Hannaford store collection box (labeled for Ellis School, Fremont). If you shop at Hannaford, just not the Raymond location, please keep your certificates as they are still redeemable by the Ellis School!
Simply, place them in one of the collection containers that are located at the Town Hall and Ellis School Lobby. If we raise the most money, Hannaford will grant an additional $1,000 to Ellis School. We can do it - with your help!!
Stop & Shop A+ Bonus Bucks - From 10/09/2009 through 03/25/2010, you have the opportunity to earn $$ through the Stop & Shop A+BonusBucks program to support programs for the Ellis School community. IF you already shop at a Stop&Shop in New Hampshire or Massachusetts, it is EASY to designate Ellis School for your Stop&Shop swipe card. IF you designated Ellis School last year, you must RE-designate this year for our school to receive credit. Go to www.stopandshop.com/aplus and designate your grocery swipe card by entering the 1st three letters of your last name, the 13 digit number on the back of your Stop&Shop swipe card, and then designate Ellis School using the school ID # 05256.
If you wish, you can designate multiple schools on their website and each school will receive a percentage of the earnings. Ask neighbors and relatives to designate Ellis School for their swipe card to earn even more for Ellis School community programs. For further info, contact Breeda Royer at 895 3006.

SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOLS - FREMONT TASK FORCE
LOOKING FOR MEMBERS
Careful planning and a commitment to the safety of children who walk and ride bicycles to school has earned 25 communities hosting 41 schools more than $1 million in Safe Routes to School (SRTS) reimbursement grants in NH. Let Fremont be one of them!
Commissioner George Campbell Jr of the NH Dept of Transportation (NHDOT) has approved grants recommended by the Statewide Advisory Committee (SAC) and the State’s Regional Planning Commissions (RPCs). More and more communities are recognizing the value of getting kids outside and active, instead of sitting in the back seat of the family vehicle stuck in a school-zone traffic jam. SRTS is an unusual program in that it fosters partnerships among leaders from schools and municipal government, parents, kids, and anyone from the community who is interested. They identify the reasons people in their community drive kids short distances to school, and then plan programs based on specific local conditions. It is a program that can work in rural towns, larger cities, and many places in between.
We are hoping to apply for a grant that will support a “startup” program. This will reimburse communities up to $5,000 for the expenses associated with initial surveys of students and parents, preliminary planning, and some educational, encouragement and enforcement efforts. Additional grants for the future would fund up to $15,000 more.
For more information or to help with this project, email Mrs. Carol Foley, cfoley@sau83.org, Gifted and Talented Coordinator at the Ellis School.
